The first step is to make an appointment to come meet our rescues, Chris & Steph Barker. Text us and we will respond with available dates and times. When we meet you we will talk to you to find the perfect match. Even if our rescues here do not match your needs we receive hundreds of requests to help and we could help you by finding the perfect companion for your lifestyle.

Once we have determined the dog/cat you would like to adopt then we schedule a 2nd meet and greet with YOUR whole pack (spouse, children, other animals). Please bring your adoption application at this time.

The third meet and greet will be at your home. This is done to help with the transitioning process and again to make sure our rescue will be a good fit for your life.

After the third meet and greet we will reach out to you after 24 hours to let you know if we have accepted your adoption application. We have said no in the past, please do not take it personally. If we decide it is not a good fit we will work with you to find you another rescue and we will explain the reasoning behind it.

If your application was accepted we ask for $350 as an adoption fee & a copy of your drivers license for our records. If you are able to donate more please consider it. Most of all of the expenses: food, vet, heartworm & flea preventatives, spay/neuter, leash, collar, harness, tag, medication, etc. are funded by Chris & Stephanie Barker . If you ever had a pet you know how expensive it can be. Every single penny goes back to the animals.
